This is my Master Project in Visual Art at Sint Lucas Antwerp, Karel de Hoges School. The theme of project come from the perspective of living in two systems of calendar: Âm (Yin) and Dương (Yang).  The Âm calendar represents the traditional, cultural, spiritual life and the Dương calendar represents the globalized, modern, working, rational life. These two calendar are pararell, and intertwine at the same time in Vietnamese’ perception. Nowadays, the Dương calendar has been becoming dominant while the Yin calendar has becoming fogotten. My question is: How to balance these two time perceptions though visual design? I experimented with data, code, text, number, shape of nature to visualize 2 different flow of calendar but still in a harmonous, balancing visual and motion.
